What ails Indian Econmy - a Musing

1) The below step is in the right direction...
2) The Biggest Problem for India's Economy is the Doles,
Subsidies, Freebies. In life there is no such thing as "Free Lunch" . Someone has To ultimately pay for it..
3) The current Political-Election system, necessitates the generation and spending of huge amounts of unaccounted money, which creates a vicious cycle of corruption, nepotism etc.
4) Over enthusiastic judiciary sitting on judgement even on policy matters,
5) Ruling Party which doesn't want to upset any allies and opposition party which doesn't want the ruling party to do anything constructive thereby taking any credits. It applies to all parties. Same policy..but, view of a party changes  the moment it switches from ruling to opposition and vice versa. Except communists, who want us to go back to the social policies of pre-liberalisation..
6) The current pathetic condition of our educational system...Deserving can't afford..Those who can afford may not be deserving..PG medical seats auctioned for Rs 4cr / SEETHALAKSHMI S, TNN Sep 13, 2013, 01.29AM IST / Times of India

7) 24x7 Live News TV :- Sensationalizing everything thereby trivializing by getting the so-called experts who are not experts on anything other than loving there 15 seconds fame on TV..The anchors instead of moderating the discussion on a balanced and unbiased manner they seem to have a strong view on the subject and behave like judge and jury
The list goes on and on....
But, we as the people can't pass the buck onto politicians..

8) Couple of Quotes..

"Every country has the government it deserves" and "In a democracy people get the leaders they deserve."
Joseph-Marie, comte de Maistre (1 April 1753 – 26 February 1821) was a Savoyard lawyer, diplomat, writer, and philosopher.
When a government, which is so unfair and unjust, complains of tax evasion, it should remember that just as every nation gets the government it deserves, every government gets the taxpayers it deserves. - We, the People, Nani A. Palkhivala.
